New Earth Living
NEW EARTH LIVING
A different way of living. A different way of building community.
Exploring neighborhoods where housing, food, education, shared resources, and everyday life are designed to work together—creating stronger communities while respecting individual freedom.
Life Beyond the Individual Home
A home is more than the building we live in. Our surroundings, neighbors, and access to essential resources also shape our everyday lives.
New Earth Living explores how thoughtful neighborhood design can strengthen community connections while preserving privacy, independence, and personal choice.
NEIGHBORHOODS & HOUSING
Homes Connected to Something Larger
We envision neighborhoods that bring together different housing options, walkable streets, shared green spaces, and essential services close to home.
These communities would accommodate different households, ages, and ways of living. The goal is not uniformity, but neighborhoods where people can establish roots, maintain their independence, and benefit from shared infrastructure.
SHARED COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE
The Places That Bring a Neighborhood Together
Strong neighborhoods need more than homes. Accessible services, shared spaces, and opportunities for connection can make everyday life easier, healthier, and more supportive.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
A Community Resource Center
A neighborhood resource center could bring essential support closer to home. Depending on local needs, qualified providers, and partnerships, proposed services could include health and wellness programs, educational opportunities, employment and skills development, food access, housing guidance, and family support.
The center could also provide meeting spaces, practical workshops, and assistance connecting residents with existing community services.
The purpose is to make useful resources easier to access—not to dictate how people live or replace their independence.
CONNECTION & EVERYDAY LIFE
A Place to Gather, Connect, and Belong
Community spaces could bring neighbors together through food, conversation, cultural activities, shared experiences, and everyday encounters.
But meaningful community also requires personal freedom. Residents should be able to participate as much or as little as they choose, maintaining their privacy, boundaries, and independence.
The vision is a neighborhood where different generations can learn from one another, neighbors can offer mutual support, and connection is available without becoming an obligation.
FOOD & AGRICULTURE
A Different Relationship With Food
Food is part of the foundation of everyday life. We envision neighborhoods where access to nutritious food, support for local growers, and opportunities to grow food are connected rather than treated as separate systems.
NEIGHBORHOOD FOOD CO-OP
Good Food, Close to Home
A neighborhood food co-op could serve as a practical, accessible grocery store offering fresh produce, nutritious foods, plant-forward choices, and everyday household essentials.
The goal would be to make good food affordable and convenient while supporting local farmers and producers. A cooperative model could also give residents a meaningful voice in decisions about the store, its priorities, and how it serves the neighborhood.
This would not be an exclusive market or a luxury amenity. It would be a neighborhood resource designed to meet real needs across different household incomes and circumstances.
FOOD, NATURE & SHARED LEARNING
Growing Together
Community gardens could give residents opportunities to grow food, learn practical skills, spend time outdoors, and share knowledge across generations.
Connected with neighborhood food initiatives and educational programs, these spaces could make growing food a natural part of community life.
FROM VISION TO REALITY
The Communities We're Working Toward
New Earth Living is a long-term vision for neighborhoods that connect housing, essential resources, shared spaces, and everyday human well-being.
New Earth Homes is the proposed housing and neighborhood development initiative within this vision. Bringing these communities to life will require research, partnerships, viable financial models, planning, and real-world testing.
